🔥 Wood Gasifier
- Function: Wood is gasified with oxygen deficiency → Combustible gas
- Construction: Metal barrel + filter + hose to engine
- Yield: 1kg wood = approx. 1-2 liters gasoline equivalent
- Difficulty: High – engineering required
- Legal: Usually allowed for stationary generators
🌽 Bioethanol
- Process: Fermentation of sugar/starch → Distillation
- Raw materials: Corn, potatoes, apples, molasses
- Yield: 10kg potatoes = approx. 1 liter ethanol
- Effort: Very high, lots of energy required
- Legal: Small amounts (< 5L/year) are tolerated
⛽ Alkylate Gasoline (Emergency Replacement)
- Super E10: 10% ethanol, 90% gasoline
- Methanol mixture: Not recommended (corrosive)
- Emergency: Carburetor engines tolerate ethanol better
🛢️ Vegetable Oils as Diesel Replacement
- Rapeseed oil: Can be used directly in diesel engines
- Transesterification: Vegetable oil + methanol → Biodiesel
- Preheating: Necessary in cold temperatures
- Filter: Particulate filter clogs faster
